In an effort to streamline and introduce artificial intelligence to shark research and conservation, we are proud to be collaborating with the University of Miami's Rosenstiel School of Marine & Atmospheric Science and Abess Center for Ecosystem Science & Policy, and the University of Miami Shark Research Center.
Jack is one of the co-founders and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of L2 Platforms LLC. He holds a B.S.E and an M.S.E. in Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Sciences from the University of Michigan. Over the past 6 years he has worked on numerous government contracts in both academic and industry settings. He has contracted with the United States Department of Energy (DOE) and National Nuclear Security Administration to develop algorithms capable of discerning between real and counterfeit nuclear weapons. Moreover he has developed analytics and visualization tools for the SIGMA project while on contract with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). He has experience designing and implementing alert systems capable of detecting the presence of nuclear material based on a large mobile data collection network. Lastly, Jack is working for Accenture Federal Services, serving as a Big Data and Artificial Intelligence Lead.
JJ is one of the co-founders and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of L2 Platforms LLC. He is a full-stack software developer by trade, with a focus in big data and artificial intelligence. He has a B.S. in Computer Science from Ohio University and M.S. in Data Analytics Engineering from George Mason University, where he is also pursuing his Ph.D in Computational Sciences. For the past nine years, JJ has led various projects within the U.S. Department of Defense and Intelligence Community. Throughout his career, JJ has designed and implemented algorithms for predictive analytics, event detection, anomalous activity detection, and entity resolution. JJ spent a year overseas at the Joint Analysis Center, a Joint Intelligence Center for the United States European Command (JAC/JIOCEUR) at RAF Molesworth, UK, where he analyzed and improved mission-critical analytic workflows by applying machine learning techniques capable of distinguishing nefarious entities from normal entities. Most recently, JJ is a senior data engineer for Leidos, Inc.
